About Shellworks
At Shellworks, we’re on a mission to make plastic waste a thing of the past. We’re creating a new generation of materials - sustainable, high-performing, and designed to disappear. By reimagining how materials are made, we’re tackling one of the world’s most urgent environmental challenges.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to help us scale Shellworks by building a predictable, high-quality pipeline of opportunities. Working closely with our founders, commercial team, and in-house designers, you’ll own and deliver the marketing strategy that directly fuels revenue growth.
This role is perfect for someone who can combine creativity with commercial focus turning customer insights, market knowledge, and smart campaigns into measurable results. You’ll have high autonomy, work closely with the leadership team, and the chance to shape how Shellworks tells its story to the world.
Key Responsibilities
As Marketing Manager at Shellworks, you’ll:
Run campaigns that convert - create campaigns that speak to the different people involved in buying decisions - from decision-makers to technical specialists - so each sees the value Shellworks brings.
Support revenue growth - make sure campaigns generate qualified leads, strengthen our sales pipeline, and tie directly to revenue goals.
Set up tools for scale - own the setup and optimisation of our CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo) so we can track and improve performance at every stage of the funnel
Translate customer insights into campaigns and content that build trust, showcase success stories, and help shorten sales cycles.
Increase Shellworks’ visibility by identifying and managing our presence in the right events, partnerships, and online communities within target industries.
Deliver consistent, high quality communications - from newsletters and announcements to campaign assets - in close collaboration with our in-house design team.
Measure and improve impact by tracking performance, testing new approaches, and ensuring every marketing initiative contributes to growth.
Must haves
Experience in B2B marketing (content, social, or demand generation).
Experience marketing to consumer brands.
Ability to translate buyer insights into structured campaigns that engage the full buying group.
Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, or similar).
A track record of building campaigns that generate leads and support sales goals.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
Proactive, analytical, and comfortable iterating to improve results.
Excited by the autonomy and pace of an early-stage startup.
Nice-to-haves
Comfort working with technical or scientific product detail.
A degree in science, engineering, or related fields.
Don’t meet 100% of the qualifications?
Studies show that women and people from underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet every requirement. At Shellworks, we value diversity of thought and recognise that skills and experience can be built in many ways. If you’re excited about this role and our mission but don’t tick every single box, we’d still love to hear from you.
