About Shellworks
Developed for a throwaway culture, plastics have caused significant pollution to our natural environments. 90% of all plastics ever created have never been recycled, causing widespread pollution and health impacts from chemicals and microplastics.
We believe there must be a better way and our first innovation Vivomer™ does just that, if nature made a plastic this would be it. Vivomer, a polymer made by microorganisms, behaves just like plastic in use, but degrades naturally upon disposal. It can be rigid or flexible, matte or glossy. Developed through cutting-edge material science, mechanical engineering, design, and operations, Vivomer represents a groundbreaking step towards a pollution-free future.
The nature of our work is frequently described as impossible, but if like us, you’re driven by the challenge to prove that there is a better way to do things, join us.
About the Role
This Marketing Associate role sits within Shellworks’ commercial team and works closely with our Commercial Director. You’ll collaborate across content, design, and partnerships to deliver high-impact messaging and clear, consistent communication. When you join us you’ll:
Shape messaging: Transform complex material science into clear, compelling content that resonates with customers, partners, and the broader market
Establish consistency: Launch and maintain a steady cadence of comms - newsletters, product updates, partner stories, social media, and announcements
Enable commercial success: Support the commercial team with impactful customer-facing assets like case studies, one-pagers, email templates, and build and optimise our engagement funnels
Create standout brand moments: Develop visual assets (including compost documentation and product visuals) for launches and campaigns
Elevate Shellworks’ presence: Contribute to our event strategy, identifying key opportunities, coordinating materials, and ensuring consistent brand execution
Fuel thought leadership: Engage prospective customers online and help position leadership as trusted voices in sustainable innovation
Systematise feedback loops: Build workflows for testimonial collection, post-engagement follow-ups, and insight-driven content planning
